Acts 1:8 - "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

Have you ever thought why Jesus called us to be witnesses rather than to be witnessing?  Think about that.

Witnessing is about what we do, while Witnesses is about who we are in Christ.

Isa 43:10-12 - "You are My witnesses," says the LORD, "And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the LORD, And besides Me there is no savior.  I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed, And there was no foreign god among

you; Therefore you are My witnesses,"

Heb 12:1 - Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

Christians are identified (not an extensive list) in the bible as Believers, Children, Bond Servants, Disciples, Heirs, Priests, Saints, Sheep, and Witnesses.  All of these are who we are in Christ, not what we do because of who we are.

Ponder your God given identity as Witnesses as you consider those He brings into your life.
