Blessed Beyond Measure
I am sure most of could agree that "Count your blessings" is a phrase that has taken on a deeper meaning in recent days, as we see a bit more clearly that the blessings of God that have been on this country for over 240 years and He will never stop blessing his children. Through all that has transpired this past year, hopefully we are getting closer with our spouses, our family, church family, friends and our foster family (the world who have not come to Christ yet)! That is a blessing!!!
"God Blessed the Broken Road°that lead me to Himself. Since that miraculous blessing of salvation, I read in His word that I am "Blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ" Eph.1:3. As I focus on spiritual blessings, the first thing that comes to mind is the spiritual blessing/miracle of God taking residence in us. The Lord blesses us with an intimate relationship that deepens as we follow and get to know Him more. That kind of experience compels us to bless others and share the love of Christ.
Do we desire a more blessed life? It is clearly explained to us in Matthew chapter five (The Beatitudes). As the Lord empowers us to live this out, the blessings given and received are immeasurable! We were blessed to be a blessing and I am confident in the days to come the opportunities to do so will be plentiful and fruitful.
We are too blessed to be stressed. That blessed assurance we have. "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God and the peace of God that passes all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4: 6-7. There is a sermon in this verse!
Finally, in the book of Revelation 19:9 we read, "Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb." Saint, our Lord is preparing His bride, the church for that celebration and He is pouring out spiritual blessings on those who are His and who He is calling to Himself.
Can this depth of blessings be measured? I think not! Let us walk in that blessing.
